Gouache first.
Ink second.
Nothing here starts on a screen. Marlowe walks up the hill with a sketchbook, brings back a stem or two, and paints it at actual size in gouache and watercolour on the table by the window. Only when the painting is dry does it go under the scanner.
The files then go to a press two towns over, where the cards are run on 118 lb cotton stock, foiled by hand where foil is called for, and trimmed in short batches. If a run comes out wrong, it goes in the seconds bin rather than in the post.
